PetroForum UK 2008

PetroForum UK was a two and a half-day event geared to the UK forecourt retail market. Suppliers to the convenience and petroleum retail market were brought alongside owners and senior directors from the UK's top group dealers, motorway service companies and supermarkets, for a series of pre-set meetings and informal networking opportunities.

The event kicked off with a number of workshop sessions incorporating presentations on how to maximise the convenience offer; competing against the multiples; driving quality customers to UK forecourts; and a Scandinavian experience of pay at the pumps. The following two days began in a similar vein with more Workshop sessions to start the day, including presentations on fuels for the future, and how to combat stage II site safety problems, as well as an insight into coffee offerings on forecourts and a review on environmental carwashes.

After the Workshops, the mornings of the second and third days continued with pre-arranged, intensive one-to-one business meetings and an informal social networking program throughout the afternoon and on into the evening.

At the end of the event, 850 meetings had taken place in just two days, in addition to countless introductions and informal meetings.

The event follows the highly successful PetroForum UK 2007 which took place in The Algarve in June 2007.

Our next PetroForum for the UK & Ireland will take place in June 2010, somewhere warm and luxurious!
